Please meet: Susamajii -
A Fantasy Japanese Warrior Woman.
Susamajii means "fierce" in Japanese.
She is a doll rescued from a second-hand store - I bought the whole bag just to get her! She's a former Mattel "Kira" doll. My inspiration was the flower Snapdragon - love them!! She has had all her factory paint removed and has been repainted by me using artist grade paints and sealers. Her umbrella was hand-made by me using paper, shishkebab skewers and toothpicks. Just about made me crazy coming up with it!! Her shield is one of a pair of earrings bought at the same store. LOVE that place!! The outfit is a former doll dress that I cut up and completely re-designed. You might notice a former piece of the dress that I turned into a fan bustle in the back shot. I added straps and other embellishments to her costume. I hope that you enjoy looking at her - I'm so happy the way that she turned out.
